Filbert Fancies

Ingredients
- 1 cup shelled unblanched filberts
- 1 beaten egg
- 2 cups sifted powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 dash salt
- 2 (1 ounce) unsweetened chocolate squares, melted and cooled
- 6 ounces mini marshmallows
- 1 cup shredded coconut
Recipe
- 1 coarsely chop filberts; spread on baking sheet and toast at 350 until golden brown, about 10 minutes.
- 2 cool.
- 3 combine egg, sugar, butter, vanilla and salt.
- 4 beat until very light and fluffy.
- 5 blend in chocolate.
- 6 combine marshmallows and filberts; fold in chocolate mixture.
- 7 drop from teaspoon into bowl of coconut; roll evenly to coat.
- 8 place on waxed paper.
- 9 let stand until set.
