Festive Cranberry-coconut Bars

Ingredients

- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine, softened
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups dried cranberries
- 1 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 (12 ounce) package chocolate chips, divided
- 2 tablespoons milk
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 375°f
- 2 mix flour and baking soda; set aside.
- 3 beat butter and sugars in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy.
- 4 beat in eggs and vanilla.
- 5 gradually stir in flour mixture until well mixed.
- 6 stir in cranberries, oats, coconut and 1 cup chocolate chips.
- 7 press dough evenly into greased 15x10-inch pan.
- 8 bake 20 minutes or until edges are golden brown and center is set. cool in pan on wire rack.
- 9 cook and stir remaining chocolate chips and milk in small saucepan on low heat until smooth. drizzle mixture over top.
