Hershey's Cocoa Haystacks

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 25 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 48
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup cocoa, hershey's
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 1/2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
  • 1 cup flaked coconut
  • 1/2 cup nuts, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 in medium saucepan combine sugar, butter, milk and cocoa.
  • 2 cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to full boil; remove from heat.
  • 3 stir in remaining ingredients.
  • 4 immediately drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto wax paper.
  • 5 cool completely.
  • 6 store in cool, dry place.
