Coconut Chicken

Ingredients

- 1 chicken, in pieces or 1 kg chicken breast, chunks
- 2 tablespoons sp oil
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 6 segment garlic
- 1 inch ginger
- 4 black cardamom pods
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 14 ounces coconut milk
- 1 tablespoon tamarind paste
- 2 tablespoons tomato puree
- 14 ounces chopped tomatoes
- 2 large onions, chopped
- coriander leaves
Recipe
- 1 fry onion in olive oil till just staerting to brown. add crushed galic and grated ginger , black cardemom and cinnamon stick and cook for furthet 2 minutes. add salt and chilli and cook for further minute. now add tomato puree and cook for minute and add chicken. keep stirring and cooking for about twenty minutes. add a bit of water every now and then to stop chicken sticking or burning.
- 2 now add chopped tomato and and corriander, cumin and garam masala and cook for about 10 minute.
- 3 add coconut milk and tamrind paste and cook for 5 minutes. now garnish it with corriander leaves. you can add more water during last step if you need more sauce.
