Hawaiian Pie

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 14 ounces crushed pineapple, with juice
  • 2 large bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup coconut, flaked
  • 1/2 cup nuts, finely chopped (i use pecans, but try macadamias)
  • 1 -9 inch pie shell, baked

Recipe

  • 1 in a saucepan, mix together the flour and sugar.
  • 2 add the crushed pineapple with juice.
  • 3 cook over medium heat until thick, stirring constantly.
  • 4 pour half of the mixture into the pie shell; cool.
  • 5 when filling is cooled, add a layer of bananas, a layer of coconut and finally the chopped nuts.
  • 6 top with the rest of the pineapple mixture.
  • 7 chill. (i like to chill this for at least 4 hours)
  • 8 before serving spread with whipped cream or cool whip.
