Hawaiian Pie

Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 14 ounces crushed pineapple, with juice
- 2 large bananas, sliced
- 1 cup coconut, flaked
- 1/2 cup nuts, finely chopped (i use pecans, but try macadamias)
- 1 -9 inch pie shell, baked
Recipe
- 1 in a saucepan, mix together the flour and sugar.
- 2 add the crushed pineapple with juice.
- 3 cook over medium heat until thick, stirring constantly.
- 4 pour half of the mixture into the pie shell; cool.
- 5 when filling is cooled, add a layer of bananas, a layer of coconut and finally the chopped nuts.
- 6 top with the rest of the pineapple mixture.
- 7 chill. (i like to chill this for at least 4 hours)
- 8 before serving spread with whipped cream or cool whip.
