Coconut Kisses ("kokosbusserl")

Ingredients

  • Servings: 1
  • 250 g sugar
  • 250 g desiccated coconut
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 pinch salt

Recipe

  • 1 beat egg whites until very firm, gradually adding the sugar and a pinch of salt. about 5-10 minutes.
  • 2 slowly and carefully incorporate coconut and lemon cest.
  • 3 cover a baking tray with either non stick baking parchment or a little melted butter and form little "heaps/piles" out of the coconut batter (about 1tsp. each).
  • 4 bake at 180°c for about 15 minutes. kokosbusserl are supposed to be soft and moist in the middle, be careful not to burn them.
  • 5 enjoy!
