Jiffy German Chocolate Squares

Ingredients

- 1/3 cup jiffy brand baking mix
- 2 ounces german sweet chocolate
- 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine
- 3 eggs, beat
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 (7 ounce) package jiffy brand frosting mix
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 teaspoon maple flavoring
- 1/2 cup coconut
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 egg yolks
Recipe
- 1 heat oven to 350f, grease and flour a 9" square pan.
- 2 in small pan, melt chocolate and butter together, stir well, set aside.
- 3 beat eggs well.
- 4 add baking mix, sugar and salt blend well.
- 5 fold in vanilla, pecans and chocolate mixture.
- 6 pour into pan.
- 7 bake 30-35 minutes.
- 8 set aside to cool.
- 9 mix frosting ingredients together in small pan.
- 10 over medium heat bring to boil, stir constantly, till thickened.
- 11 remove from heat and cool.
- 12 frost cooled squares, then slice.
