Jiffy German Chocolate Squares

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 18
  • 1/3 cup jiffy brand baking mix
  • 2 ounces german sweet chocolate
  • 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine
  • 3 eggs, beat
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 (7 ounce) package jiffy brand frosting mix
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon maple flavoring
  • 1/2 cup coconut
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 egg yolks

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 350f, grease and flour a 9" square pan.
  • 2 in small pan, melt chocolate and butter together, stir well, set aside.
  • 3 beat eggs well.
  • 4 add baking mix, sugar and salt blend well.
  • 5 fold in vanilla, pecans and chocolate mixture.
  • 6 pour into pan.
  • 7 bake 30-35 minutes.
  • 8 set aside to cool.
  • 9 mix frosting ingredients together in small pan.
  • 10 over medium heat bring to boil, stir constantly, till thickened.
  • 11 remove from heat and cool.
  • 12 frost cooled squares, then slice.
