Granny's Coconut Pie

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 frozen pie crusts (deep dish-thawed)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 1/2 cups flaked coconut (1 7oz bag)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter

Recipe

  • 1 put coconut in a bowl. pour milk over and set aside.
  • 2 cream butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time till mixed well. add vanilla.
  • 3 stir in coconut and milk.
  • 4 poke thawed crusts well with a fork. pour batter evenly into the two crusts.
  • 5 bake at 350 for 30 to 40 mins or till center is almost set and pie is golden brown.
  • 6 note: if crusts starts to brown too quickly cover it with tin foil for remainder of cook time.
