Maple Flax Granola

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 6 cups old fashioned oats
  • 2 cups coconut
  • 2 cups peanuts (optional)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 1 cup flax seed (optional finely ground)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
  • 2 combine syrup, brown sugar and oil in large microwaveable bowl.
  • 3 cook at high power for 3 minutes.
  • 4 in another large bowl, combine oats, coconut, peanuts, chocolate chips, raisins and flax seed.
  • 5 pour hot syrup mixture over oat mixture and stir well to combine.
  • 6 spread granola mix out into two jellyroll pans.
  • 7 bake 10 minutes then remove from oven and stir mixture.
  • 8 return to oven and bake another 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • 9 cool to room temperature.
  • 10 break apart into chunks and stoe in sealed container.
