Haka Taro [cooked Taro]

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 large taro root
  • 400 g coconut cream
  • 1/2 onion
  • salt, to taste

Recipe

  • 1 place pot on stove and add two cups water over medium heat.
  • 2 use knife to remove skin off taro.
  • 3 wash taro and knife before placing taro on cutting board.
  • 4 cut in half then cut into smaller pieces.
  • 5 put taro into potwith sufficient water to cover most pieces.
  • 6 cover and boil until taro is almost tender when pierced with a fork.
  • 7 chop onion and add to cup of coconut cream/milk then add pinch of of salt for taste before pouring it over taro when almost cooked.
