Easy Granola Bars

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup chopped unsalted peanuts or 1 cup almonds
  • 1 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup sweetened flaked coconut
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or any you like)
  • 1 (300 ml) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup butter

Recipe

  • 1 pre-heat oven to 325 degrees. prepare a cookie sheet lined with tin foil or parchment paper. grease lightly with margarine.
  • 2 combine oats, peanuts or almonds, sunflower seeds, shredded coconut and chocolate chips in a bowl. mix together.
  • 3 melt butter in the microwave and pour into the dry mixture - stir until coated. add the sweetened condensed milk and mix.
  • 4 spread mixture evenly on the cookie sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
  • 5 let cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes and then flip over onto a clean surface. peel back the tinfoil. when almost completely cooled, cut into pieces - will tend to crumble a little.
