Mary's German Chocolate Cake Icing

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup margarine or 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup nuts, chopped
  • 1 1/3 cups coconut

Recipe

  • 1 combine all ingredients (except nuts and coconut) in a medium saucepan over medium heat until thickened, approximately 12 minutes.
  • 2 add nuts and coconut. beat with a spoon till both are coated.
  • 3 cool and frost the cake.
