German Chocolate Bars

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup butter, softened
- 1 package german chocolate cake mix
- 1 (6 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips (1 cup)
- 1 container rich and creamy ready-to-spread coconut pecan frosting
- 1/4 cup milk
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- 2 lightly grease bottom and sides of rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches.
- 3 cut butter into cake mix in medium bowl, using pastry blender or fork, until mixture looks like crumbs.
- 4 press half of the mixture (2 1/2 cups) in the bottom of pan.
- 5 bake 10 minutes.
- 6 sprinkle chocolate chips over baked layer.
- 7 drop frosting by tablespoonfuls over chocolate chips.
- 8 stir milk into remaining cake mixture.
- 9 drop by teaspoons onto frosting layer.
- 10 bake 25 to 30 minutes or until cake portion is slightly dry to touch; cool completely.
- 11 refrigerate until firm.
- 12 for 48 bars, cut into 8 rows by 6 rows.
