Guava Crumble

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 125 g butter or 125 g margarine
  • 140 g cake flour
  • 40 g coconut
  • 40 g oats
  • 30 ml sugar
  • 10 ml baking powder
  • 410 g guava, halves, drained

Recipe

  • 1 preheat the oven to 180ºc (350ºf).
  • 2 using your fingertips, rub the butter into the flour till well blended.
  • 3 add the remaining ingredients, except the guavas.
  • 4 press half the mixture into a greased pie dish or small (about 10 cm in diameter) loose-bottomed quiche tins.
  • 5 place guava halves cut side down in the dish or tins.
  • 6 crumble the remaining flour mixture on top and bake for 20-25 minutes or till the crust is golden brown.
  • 7 serve with cream or custard.
