Hurricane Cake

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 (18 ounce) box chocolate cake mix
  • 3 eggs (or as called for by your cake mix)
  • 1/3 cup oil (or as called for by your cake mix)
  • 1 1/3 cups water (or as called for by your cake mix)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 lb powdered sugar
  • 1/2-1 cup butter
  • 2 cups coconut
  • 1 1/2 cups pecans
  • 1 (15 ounce) can chocolate frosting (melt in microwave)

Recipe

  • 1 sprinkle coconut and pecans over dry bottom of 9x13 pan.
  • 2 mix cake mix (according to package directions) and pour over coconut and pecans.
  • 3 mix creme cheese, sugar, and butter.
  • 4 drop by big blobs on cake batter.
  • 5 swirl blobs into cake gently with a knife.
  • 6 bake 350 for 35-45 minutes.
  • 7 when cake comes out of the oven pour melted frosting over hot cake.
