Grandma's Coconut Pies
Ingredients

- 5 eggs
- 2 cups white sugar
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 (10 ounce) package flaked coconut
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 (9 inch) unbaked pie crusts

Ready Time: 1 hr
- preheat oven to 350 degrees f (175 degrees c.)
- in a large bowl, beat eggs and sugar until smooth. blend in buttermilk and melted butter. stir in the coconut and vanilla. pour filling into 2 - 9 inch pie shells.
- bake in the preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes, or until golden brown.
