My Anzac Biscuits

Ingredients
- Servings: 24
- 1 cup plain flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup desiccated coconut
- 1 tablespoon golden syrup
- 65 g butter
- 60 g margarine
- 1 1/2 teaspoons bicarbonate of soda
- 2 tablespoons hot water
Recipe
- 1 mix first 4 ingredients well.
- 2 melt butter and margarine with golden syrup over gentle heat.
- 3 dissolve bicarb in boiling water, stir into the syrup mixture and pour over dry ingredients.
- 4 mix well.
- 5 put heaped teaspoons 5cm apart on a baking tray, bake at 160 degrees for about 20 minutes.
- 6 leave on trays a few minutes before lifting off and allowing to cool.
