Healthy Whole Grain Waffles (adapted From Lorna Sass)

Total Time: 13 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 3 mins

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup kefir (or you can use buttermilk, or milk)
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons coconut oil (can sub another kind of oil)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (or use agave)

Recipe

  • 1 combine dry ingredients. combine wet ingredients. mix together. scoop onto a buttered, hot waffle iron.
