Fresh Energy Slice

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unprocessed natural bran
  • 3/4 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup wholemeal plain flour
  • 1/2 cup raw sugar
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 3/4 cup sultana
  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten

Recipe

  • 1 in a bowl combine bran, coconut, flour, sugar, oats, sesame seeds,pecans and sultanas.
  • 2 melt butter and honey, add to dry mixture.
  • 3 stir in lightly beaten eggs.
  • 4 thoroughly combine all ingredients.
  • 5 firmly press mixture into a lightly greased 28 cm x 18 cm slice tin.
  • 6 bake 25 minutes in moderate oven or till golden brown.
  • 7 cool before slicing.
