chocolate yummies

Ingredients

  • Servings: 48
  • 6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
  • 16 large marshmallows
  • 1/3 cup margarine
  • 2 cups quick cooking oats
  • 1 cup flaked coconut
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Recipe

    Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins Ready Time: 50 mins

  • melt the chocolate chips, marshmallows, and margarine together in the top of a double boiler over simmering water, stirring frequently and scraping down the sides with a rubber spatula to avoid scorching. remove chocolate mixture from heat.
  • stir oats, coconut, and vanilla extract into the chocolate mixture.
  • line a baking sheet with waxed paper. drop chocolate mixture by teaspoonful sheet. refrigerate until yummies are firm, at least 30 minutes.
