Homemade Granola Bars

Ingredients
- 4 1/2 cups oats (oatmeal, old-fashioned style)
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup butter, melted
- 3/4 cup honey
- 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup chocolate chips (mini if desired)
- 1 cup raisins
Recipe
- 1 lightly grease a 9x13 pan. in a large bowl combine all ingredients except chocolate chips and raisins. once ingredients are mixed, gently fold in chocolate chips and raisins.
- 2 pour and press mixture into pan (use a sheet of wax paper to press down granola, so it does not stick. lightly grease if needed). bake 18-22 minutes or until golden brown. let cool for 10 minutes and cut. cool completely before removing from pan.
- 3 wrap individually. can be frozen if desired.
- 4 *add what you like -- coconut, nuts, sunflower seeds, etc to make it your own. you can also reduce the oatmeal and add other cereal, etc.
