Ingredients

- 6 yams, peeled and cubed
- 1 -2 cup sweetened coconut milk
- 1/2 cup dark rum
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 -4 cup evaporated milk
- salt and pepper
- grated nutmeg
Recipe
- 1 place yams in dutch oven and cover with water. bring to boil and cook yams until soft, about 45 minutes.
- 2 drain. mash with potato masher or large fork. add sweetened coconut milk, rum, butter, evaporated milk, salt and pepper. stir well until all ingredients are combined and smooth.
- 3 grate fresh nutmeg over potatoes, fold into mixture. grate more nutmeg on potatoes and fold into mixture again.
