Flaky Lemon Honey Buns

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1 (8 ounce) can crescent rolls
  • 3 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup coconut flakes
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon softened butter

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f .
  • 2 unroll crescent rolls dough; arrange into 2 large rectangles.
  • 3 overlap long sides or rectangles to shape a 13 x 7-inch rectangle.
  • 4 firmly press together edges and perpeforations to seal.
  • 5 into a small bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sugar, coconut flakes, honey and 1 teaspoon lemon juice.
  • 6 blend until smooth.
  • 7 spread mixture over dough.
  • 8 roll-up dough, starting at a longer side.
  • 9 press edges to seal.
  • 10 cut roll into 12 slices; arrange onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • 11 bake into preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, until golden brown.
  • 12 remove from heat; leave to cool.
  • 13 into a clean small bowl, beat together remaining 1 tablespoon lemon juice, icing sugar and softened butter into a glaze.
  • 14 drizzle glaze over still warm buns.
