Gumdrop Cake

Ingredients

• 1 cup butter
• 3 eggs
• 2 1/2 cups sugar
• 3 3/4 cups flour
• 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup warm milk
• 1 cup crushed pineapple in juice
• 1 cup coconut
• 1 lb gumdrop, cut up, no black
• 1 teaspoon lemon juice
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 lb raisins (optional)

Recipe

• 1 cream butter and eggs with sugar. add flour mixed with baking powder and salt, alternately with pineapple and warm milk. add lemon and vanilla. dredge gum drops and raisins wirth 1/2 cup flour. add coconut and mix.
• 2 bake at 325°f place a pan of water in oven with loaves for moisture.
